Marketplace Terms & Conditions

1. The Platform
AgriMarket ("the Platform") is an online marketplace that connects buyers and sellers of agricultural products in Nigeria. We are an intermediary — we do not own, produce, store or deliver any products listed on the Platform. Contracts for the sale of goods are formed directly between buyers and sellers.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into contracts under Nigerian law to use the Platform. By registering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and complete.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@agrimarketng.com if you suspect unauthorised access. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. Buyer Obligations
Buyers must: (a) provide accurate delivery and contact information; (b) confirm or dispute delivery within 72 hours of the expected delivery date; (c) pay agreed amounts promptly; (d) not raise fraudulent disputes; (e) comply with all applicable laws when purchasing agricultural products.
5. Seller Obligations
Sellers must: (a) accurately represent their products, including condition, weight, breed and availability; (b) respond to buyer enquiries within 24 hours; (c) fulfil confirmed orders or notify buyers promptly if unable to do so; (d) comply with Nigerian food safety, agricultural and business regulations; (e) not list prohibited products; (f) maintain their verification status by keeping documents current.
6. Prohibited Products
The following are prohibited on the Platform: stolen goods; products that violate Nigerian law; wildlife protected under CITES or Nigerian law; counterfeit goods; products misrepresented as to origin, quality or quantity; any product listed on our Prohibited Products Policy page.
7. Pricing & Payments
All prices are in Nigerian Naira (₦). Prices displayed are the seller's listed price and do not include delivery fees unless stated. Payment is either arranged directly between buyer and seller — cash on pickup, transfer to the seller, or terms they agree — or, where AgriMarket Secure Payment is available and selected, processed through the Platform. The Platform charges a commission on sales completed through AgriMarket, as disclosed in the Seller Agreement. We reserve the right to adjust commission rates with 30 days' notice.
8. Order Fulfilment
The Platform facilitates the order process but is not a party to the sale contract. Sellers are responsible for the accuracy of listings and fulfilment of orders. Buyers are responsible for inspecting goods on arrival and raising disputes within 72 hours.
9. Disputes
Disputes between buyers and sellers are handled according to our Dispute Policy. The Platform acts as a mediator and its decisions are final for the purposes of payout release. The Platform's liability in any dispute is limited to the value of the transaction in question.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, the Platform is not liable for: (a) the quality, safety or legality of products listed; (b) the accuracy of seller listings; (c) losses arising from buyer-arranged transport; (d) indirect, consequential or incidental losses; (e) losses arising from force majeure events including natural disasters, government actions or network failures.
11. Intellectual Property
All Platform content, design, trademarks and software are owned by or licensed to AgriMarket. Sellers grant the Platform a non-exclusive licence to display their product images and descriptions. You may not copy, reproduce or distribute Platform content without written permission.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for breach of these terms, fraudulent activity, or at our discretion with reasonable notice. You may close your account at any time by contacting us, subject to completion of any outstanding orders.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Nigerian courts.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified to registered users by email with 14 days' notice. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
